That's why Mazda is committed to designing and building vehicles with outstanding dynamics that make customers experience the authentic joy of driving and beam with pride. Every Mazda is built with passionate dedication of our engineers at production facilities. Everyone involved with the Mazda production process pays attention to every single detail, and comes up with ingenious ideas for making ongoing improvement. The production team pours their heart and soul into building a vehicle worthy of customer's satisfaction and trust, delivering the Mazda-unique “Celebrate Driving” experiences.
“Made in Hiroshima” – Pride and Responsibilities
Mazda's key production facilities are located at Ujina, close to the Mazda headquarters in Hiroshima, and at Hofu, Yamaguchi.
番茄社区安卓下载 Hiroshima is known for its sad history. Shattered and devastated at the end of the Pacific War, Hiroshima made an extraordinary recovery from ruins of war and is a thriving city today. As a city that transformed itself, Hiroshima is known to have a unique local spirit –standing up to seemingly impossible challenge, the unwavering strength of will to see aspirations through to fruition. The spirit of Hiroshima lives on in Mazda. For Mazda's production team, “Made in Hiroshima” is a symbol of their pride and a great sense of responsibility for ensuring customer's safety and happiness.
“Jinba-Ittai” – a Sense of Oneness with the Car Comes from Engineer's Hands
番茄社区安卓下载Engine and transmission are the most important automotive parts. Engines that power the Mazda vehicles are assembled by hand at the Ujina Plant. Why? Because we believe that outstanding quality can only be achieved by combining “human sensibilities” and “technological excellence”.
Mazda's another key production facility, the Hofu Plant, is where transmissions are produced. Every transmission is cast by a group of expert engineers. Melting aluminum at 700+ degrees Celsius and filling molds at the world's fastest speed, the engineers battle high heat and compete against speed. The finished transmission is given the Mazda emblem which is a sign of in-house production. Mazda even makes its own molds, because we know that getting details exactly right in the production process results in a car that is responsive, truly fun-to-drive and delivers “Jinba-Ittai” driving feel – a sense of oneness with the car.
“TAKUMINURI” – Enhancing the Beauty of Mazda’s KODO Design
To amplify the beauty of Mazda's “KODO” design theme, a vehicle's body must be accurately reproduced. The body also needs outstanding paint quality to make the design come alive. Committed to innovating paint technology, Mazda has developed the unique, environmental-friendly Solvent Borne Three Layer Wet Paint System and the Aqua-tech Paint System. Those technological innovations helped develop paint coat structural design technology which optimizes coat functions, and high-precision paint technology for optimizing coating.
番茄社区安卓下载“TAKUMINURI”, which means “paint by master craftsmen” in Japanese, is a Mazda-exclusive approach to advanced paint technology which enables mass production of paint coat that balances depth and glossiness of Mazda's iconic body color, the Soul Red Premium Metallic. Mazda's passion for getting the perfect body paint is best summarized by what our paint engineer has to say about the paint - “the car's face is shaped by the quality of body paint”.
Numerous Small Steps are Taken to Ensure Safety and Reliability
The assembly process is where all the parts such as engine, transmission and body are put together. The assembly involves more than 1,200 parts; the factory relies on smart, ingenious ideas to make sure that every Mazda that drives out of the factory is excellent in quality. One of those ideas is an introduction of tightening check equipment, used to check that every single parts, regardless of size, is properly mounted and tightened.
The assembled vehicles go through a total inspection to receive a seal of assurance. Driving inspection is done by specialist staff who went through rigorous internal training. The staff sit behind the wheel of every Mazda, drive the vehicle on a dedicated track to assess its performance against an exhaustive check list. Only vehicles that clear multiple stringent standards are allowed to leave the factory and deliver “Celebrate Driving” to customer.
Putting a Smile on Customer’s Face
Mazda knows that a vehicle carries a customer AND his or her life – the driving exhilaration and emotional experiences, lifestyles, and precious time spent with family and friends. At Mazda's production facilities, everyone is fully aware of the huge responsibilities borne by every Mazda. Everything that the production engineers do is for putting a smile on a customer's face when he or she drives a Mazda. Everyone at the production facilities works together to swiftly deliver the Mazda models with exceptional overall quality to customers – the vehicles that they are all extremely proud of.
